thinking back on it, there are entirely too many possibilities for who the invaders are in YJ: Invasion. We’ve got the Reach as a possibility with Jaime showing up, we’ve got the White Martians as a possibility because we know they’re around, and we’ve got Apokolips as a possibility because the…
Basically, I love and agree with everything.
And, according to this interview: http://tinyurl.com/cxef33n, all those aliens could be invading. All of them. And all the others in the DC universe. Wheee!

Thank you for your tone of condescension. I really appreciate it.
Just so you know, I legitimately bought my own HBO subscription with my own damn hard earned money.
But I happen to live in Canada,. So I had no access to this content until someone uploaded it.
There are plenty of people all around the world with HBO subscriptions - HBO Asia, HBO Canada, fans in the UK who watch Game of Thrones on SkyAtlantic, and there are other services I don’t know the names of, I’m sure.
We all paid for our damn subscriptions.
But this trailer is limited to HBO Go, which in itself is an even more limited service exclusive to the residents of the 50 US states.
Maybe less people would resort to your aforementioned torrenting if things like this were made more widely accessible.
So no, I’m not someone who “merely torrents” this show.
(Though honestly, you can’t make that generalization and lord over people who do; some people can’t afford luxuries like cable television and that’s not their fault, so dial that back, if you please.)
I’m a fan who paid probably as much as you, and I think I’m allowed to express dissatisfaction over a marketing decision that does not make any sense to me, given that I’m pretty damn sure this show’s fanbase has over half of its viewers outside the 50 US States.
So there.
Thank you for your patience in reading this.
Thank you for responding so politely to the situation. I don’t feel that I was out of line, because honestly the trailer had been out 20 minutes, and you were already complaining.
I’m very lucky, I realize that. I live in a country that is almost guaranteed to eventually have most media released legally, and I make enough money to buy them legitimately. The pirate culture just irritates me. I watch my shows legitimately 90% of the time, (the exceptions being certain anime, and I buy those when they release stateside) and I wait my turn to watch things. My friends were all raving over the 2nd season of Downton Abbey when it was airing in the UK, and I waited ‘til it aired on KPBS to watch it.
So I was probably taking some of that irritation out on you, for which I am sorry. Judging by your interests, I’m willing to bet you’re a pretty cool gal. It seems you like many of the same things I do, but more than that you seem extremely intelligent.
But I’m still going to block you, because anybody who responds to a dissenting opinion by calling the other person an entitled, self-righteous douchebag is not someone I want to follow. Sorry.

idk what made them decide to limit the new trailer to HBO Go but this is one of the dumbest fucking moves they’ve made in terms of advertising, considering the REST OF THE WORLD IS PISSED OFF NOW.

Games of Thrones - Season 2
Game of Thrones S2 Trailer…
… is beautiful, (Dragons! Mel! Wildfire! RED COMET which I thought would get cut!) but the quality is choppy for me. This never happens, so I’m going to assume it is due to the sheer quantity of people all trying to watch it at once.
And for those who can’t watch it, for heaven’s sake, if you’re into the show enough to want to watch the trailer the instant it comes out, then you really should already be subscribed to HBO. Nearly all the tv providers have deals now in place, so you should have access. You owe it to yourself.
ayeloveismyweapon:
soooo is anyone going to put that trailer on tumblr so i don’t have to sign up for that website
You don’t have to sign up to the website, just subscribe to HBO and you’ll get access. (Unless your carrier doesn’t have a deal in place with HBO, though most of them do at this point.)

“Winter will never come for the likes of us. Should we die in battle, they will surely sing of us, and it’s always summer in the songs. In the songs all knights are gallant, all maids are beautiful, and the sun is always shining.”

Unpopular Opinions: Why I dislike many of the A Song of Ice and Fire characters
It’s a curious thing.
When I first read the series, I liked nearly everybody, or at least tolerated them. As time goes by, I like most of them less and less. SPOILERS AHOY!
Arya and Sansa: From the beginning I liked them both. They reminded me of my sister and myself: one tomboyish with a liking for action and sharp pointy things, and one daydreamy and girly. (I kind of outgrew the girly, but I still harbor a nostalgic affection for characters of that type.) As the plot progresses, my sympathy increases for Sansa, and decreases for Arya. Little psychotic child assassins, particularly if they used to resemble your baby sister, are disquieting. Arya for me doesn’t = cool. Arya = creepy.
Jon and Dany: Their chapters, which pretty much support entire storylines on their own, are pretty enjoyable, and I used to like them both, though they were never my favorites. As of ADwD, I don’t like either of them very much, for their chapters weren’t much fun. I kept having to put the book down, and remind myself that they are fictional characters, and no matter how loudly I scream at them over their LOUSY, HORRIBLE, NO-GOOD DECISIONS, it will not make a difference.
Tyrion: I used to like him, the sole semi-moral member of the Lannisters, and he always got the best one-liners. I don’t blame him for shooting the old man, who had it coming, but it was a bad thing for Tyrion. After that, he basically spirals downhill. He’s not even very funny anymore, unless wine-soaked self-loathing is funny.
Catelyn: I liked Catelyn a lot my first read-through, and couldn’t understand all the vitriol directed at her from the fans. I still basically like her, but her chapters make me cringe. All these decisions that seem reasonable at the time, but end up with truly appalling consequences….
Jaime and Cersei: Jaime is pretty much the only character I like better now than when I started. After pushing a kid out of the window, the only place for him to go was up. Cersei, I like no more than I ever did, but I feel like I understand her a little more now.
Theon: It went from casual dislike, to loathing, to pity. Even though I still don’t like him much, it feels like he’s probably suffered enough at this point. At this I’m almost rooting for him to have a happy ending. (Of course, this is GRRM. Happy endings will be far and few between.)
Someone who remains unchanged: JOFFREY. Go choke on a pie.
Looking at all that, I guess it becomes pretty clear that the characters I like the most are the “good guys” or at least, those who would like to be good. Here’s some other people my opinion of remains unchanged: Brienne, Davos, and all the direwolves. Favorite characters ~
So, feel free to tell why I am completely wrong about all these people. I’m listening!
